Maintaining Balance in Academics and Activities

Don’t forget to register for our panel discussion on Maintaining Balance in Academics and Activities. Hear from the experts on strategies for balancing academics, extracurriculars, athletics and social life. Our speaker panel representatives include District 181, Hinsdale Central, Hinsdale South, students and community members - presented in partnership with P.A.S.S. Peer Tutoring, D86 Hinsdale Central & Hinsdale South High Schools, D181 Hinsdale & Clarendon Hills Middle Schools, and The Community House. Register HERE.

 

Homework Helper High School Volunteer Training

September 14th or 17th, 4:15-4:30pm (Hinsdale Public Library)

Looking for a volunteer experience this year? Come to our volunteer training to learn about being a Homework Helper for younger students. HPL’s Junior Advisory Board is looking for High School volunteers to serve as Homework Helpers for younger students on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30pm starting on September 14th. Interested? Sign up for a training on either date to learn more. HPL Homework Helpers is a drop-in program for younger students to work with high school students to practice reading and receive homework support. Register for the training HERE.

 

Study Skills with P.A.S.S. Peer Tutors

Sunday, September 13th, 1-2pm (Hinsdale Public Library)

Create personalized study calendars, review flashcards, and learn proven study strategies to improve notetaking, strengthen memory, and retain information more effectively. Led by P.A.S.S. Peer Tutors. Register HERE.  

 

High School Peer Tutoring - With P.A.S.S. Peer Tutors

Stay on top of your work with help from P.A.S.S. Peer Tutors at HPL. Tutors available in all levels of math, physics, biology, chemistry, Spanish and AP Euro. Sessions held weekly. Learn more and register HERE
