Project Purple - stand up against substance abuse at Hinsdale Central!

The Project Purple

Project Purple is an initiative of The Herren Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation established by former NBA basketball player, Chris Herren, that assists individuals and families struggling with addiction. The THP Project Purple Initiative was launched to break the stigma of addiction, bring awareness to the dangers of substance abuse and shed light on effective treatment practices.

Hinsdale Central Purple T-Shirts Worn by Students & Staff!

Hinsdale Central High School has embraced this theme and different clubs have begun to incorporate this idea into their activities. Our educators came to us with the idea to provide a t-shirt to everyone (students and faculty) to boost school spirit and create a visible anti-drug message. The shirts will be purple and have Hinsdale Central on the front.  The back would simply say #beyou-the Herren mantra.

We Need Your $

The cost to produce 3,100 shirts is $10,000.  We have groups (including the PTO) willing to match monies contributed by our families up to $5,000. We hope you will show your support by making a donation.
